Don't give up on rewards. It is very frustrating when you first start out, but once you get in the habit, it becomes second nature.
+1
It's actually pretty simple, once you get acclimated. After some time, I can say that just about in every purchase, you'll insantly choose the best card to use.
What about the Murphy gas stations that are at Wal-Mart. do they count?
Do you have to have a sam's card to buy gas?
The gas stations at Sam's Club do count towards the 5% for Discover, Chase, and my Sallie Mae MC card. They are part of Sam's but have a seperate merchant code from the actual warehouse store.

Interesting. I'm tempted to try my Penfed card and see if I get the 5%...
You do, that is where I fill up all the time and get my 5%.

Yes they do, when it posts on the account it says Sams Club Gas.
