I was added as an AU on my fiancee's citi diamond preferred account to facilitate easy repayment of her medical bills. We're leveraging the 0% financing.
Does this additional account count toward 5/24 or it only when I'm the main cardholder? I assume it counts, but I just haven't thought about it or seen any experiences related to it. I'm at 6/24 until May and then 5/24 in June if we include the new AU account (as of January). If it's not included, I would be 5/24 until May and then 4/24 in June.
Thanks!
When was the Diamond Preferred account opened? Your credit reports will list the same date that your fiancee opened the account. If that has been less than 24 months, it may or may not count as I'm not sure if AU accounts are counted in 5/24. If it has been opened more than 2 years, you should have no problems. Older AU accounts aren't counted as a new account when someone is added.
I was added as an AU as the account was opened. If it "counts" it'll affect me because it's a new account.

When you are ready to apply for the Chase card you can remove yourself as AU and may get the entire TL removed, If not you can jump through a few hoops and make it happen. I have had AU's on Chase and AMEX but never a Citi card so unsure how they handle reporting.
