Does amex backdate automatically? APPROVED for ZYNC card

Ok here is my question,

I got approved for amex zync and i created a account and was allowed to spend upto $250...

I logged in to my account and it says welcome my name and memeber since 2001. I used to have a amex card back in 2001 which went into collections and i eventually paid off.

So does it mean my zync card has been backdated automatically or do i still need to call them and ask for it?

Yep the member since date when you log in is what will report. Grats on the aged credit line When your new card arrives, dont freak out if it says member since 2011. If its important to you, just call the number on the back of the card, and follow the prompts for card replacement. When you get a live body, no need to explain, just say you'd like your new Zync to show your real member since date and they'll get it in the mail.
