I was just wondering because i already have 4 Amex cards and i instantly got declined for an SPG personal right after i pushed the submit button (lol). Weirdly enough, i got the email talking about "we're inviting you to apply for the SPG blah blah blah". Long story short, my GF has an SPG card. I'm planning on adding myself as an autorized user on her account. Do i get the same benefits as her? Also, what's the 'spend" you need to get to gold?
Any insight will be deeply appreciated ![]()

What additional benefits are you looking for that you don't already get with your other Amex cards.

30k for gold, but it would be her account thats upgraded
If you mean the hotel benefits....she gets them, because it is linked to her starwood account. If you stay with her, you get them, or I guess if she books a room using her starwood account.
If you mean like..the generic amex benefits....they're the same on all the cards, so you already basically have all of them.

Well, i wanted to know if the AU get his/her own starpoints...I'm planning on transferring starpoints to Delta. I need 240 (Already have 103K) skymiles for a trip in July of next year. i figured the longer i wait, the more points i'll need. My GF still hasn't used her bonus points from the SPG (25k), so we're planning on putting all spending on the SPG till December and transferring some Starpoints to my Delta skymiles account and hers.

AFAIK you'd be earning starpoints for the primary cardholder when you use an AU card.

I haven't kept up with the user's history, but I was going to post that they might look out for a FR... crazy that they've already had one. Makes sense! Sorry to the poster, but realize this type of behavior is too agressive.
You have 4 revolvers and 1 charge card with Amex. According to other posters, the maximum is 4 revolvers, so your app was automatically denied.
