I don't have experience with Citi. I feel like Chase values existing customers, which can't be said with Capital One. To be fair, I have one of Capital One's rebuilder cards so the level of customer service may be skewed but I've heard they're just not that easy to work with. Chase has always been able to work with me.
I agree with thrasher regarding the scores. If those are FICOs, you don't have much to worry about.
For me, Chase is probably the best credit card company. Even better than AMEX or Discover. They put priority on their previous experiences with you and if the experience was positive, they will go out of their way to make something good happen for you.
Thanks for your advice, everyone.
I don't normally carry a balance, but I am planning to make a large puchase. The purchase will be from various merchants so I can't apply for a department/store credit card.
I will most likely have the card paid off well before the 0% interest offer runs out, but I want the freedom to be comfortable.
I'm surprised the Discover More wasn't an option.
I currently am enjoying an 18 month 0% APR with them.

I agree.. When I reconned for my Chase Amazon card, I spoke to the analyst and mentioned that I'd previously had a chase freedom, and I had just finished paying off an 8k 36 month auto loan 18 months early. T he analyst was like, oh yah, You're a great chase customer, let me approve you for a 5k limit card.
At that time It was my highest limit ever... then came NFCU....

Ya, NFCU is usually the punchline when people talk about CLs lol.
I've just had really good success with a particular woman in Chase's executive office. She always takes care of me.

i really do like my Discover also. I chose to go with the bonus sign up cash over the 0% though. I'd done carrying ballances. It just scares me that I'm gonna dig myself a hole again.
