Consider settled accounts as part of their blacklist? Any chance with them again

Re: Does chase..

I burned them about 8 years ago for $1500 over two cards. Just got back in with them last week for a Freedom, instant approval. You should have a chance. Did you check the pre-qual?

+1. I burned them for about $400 on a gas card. Got back in with them a couple weeks ago with the Freedom on a pre-qual with a $3,500 limit and instant approval. Check their pre-qual tool and see if anything comes up.

Re: Does chase..

For those that got back in, was the bad Chase account still reporting when approved?

Re: Does chase..

I applied for the Chase BP about a month ago and it stated BK in my denial letter. Called them for a recon and was asked a few questions about my current CC accounts. Was denied on the recon however Chase definitely looked past my BK for a possible approval. I'd say you have a good chance.

Re: Does chase..

You will have to call them on your first attempt to re-establish your relationship. I burned them 8 years ago on 2 cards for a couple thousand. I tried a year a go for a card and no dice. Then I tried 6 months ago and got approved after a recon explaining I'm more mature and how I have a career now and blah blah blah. They approved and said just one card for now. Just a few weeks ago I went for a Freedom and got approved.

So they will re-establish but most likely you'll have to call on your first credit app and maybe your second.

Re: Does chase..

I prob should've tried after my last denial to recon, but I just figured it would be a no go with a settled CO still showing.  It's about 5 yrs old. I may try some time next year.

Re: Does chase..

I got back in with and the CO is still reflected on my credit report.  I believe it falls off in 2015 or 2016.  Starting limit was $4,000 then it got bumped up to $5,000 before the 3rd statement.

My Wallet: Amex Express BCE $27,000, Amex Express Blue Sky $6,000, Delta SkyMiles $10,000, Discover $14,000, Chase Freedom $23,500, Capital One $8,000, SAMS $10,000, and LOWES $10,000
