I've noticed many people using the Znyc card as a way to get in the door with AMEX. For those of you that have Zync, has it helped you get approved for better AMEX products?

For me, most definitely. I was approved for the BCE with no revolving credit history because of my Zync. I used it for 2 years as my everyday card before app'ing for BCE. It also, IMO, gave them a good idea on where to set my initial CL.
IMHO yes, I got Zync to remind them of my previous history with them (AMEX). After about 8 months with Zync (and them remembering me from 1989), getting a Blue wasn't as hard as I expected. I think I tried after about 4 months with Zync and AMEX said no on a BCE.
I seriously feel Zync gives AMEX the chance to get to know how you'll most likely treat them with other products (they also use it to do a LOT of SPs for account reviews LOL well, at least a few anyway).

I would not know yet, but i'm sure it lowers my internal risk score with AMEX. That and having good payment history on the card will get you what you want with them as long as your files are on the up and up.
I'm right there w/ LS. My scores are in the 670s, but with my payment hx on my zync, I think it should give addtional weight when time comes for a revolver. (YMMV)

They should favor your current history with them over other creditors and lomg as you dont have any lates / high util. with them.
I'm hoping they take my year history with Zync in consideration when I go for the BCP.

I'm at 0% uti w/ my other cards and have to PIF my zync every month, so I had better not have any lates! lol
I don't think it is the Zync that makes it easier, it is just having a card with them that makes it easier. I got two credit cards with them without ever having a charge card, and only 18 months of credit history. So you do not have to apply for the Zync unless you want it. Someone posted on here that the criteria for all of their charge cards is the same, so if you want a higher charge card, you could attempt to go for it.
Having a card with any creditor for a while before applying for another will help your chances in getting another card.
i would say it helps. maybe not to the point of accept or deny. but obviously if your already a "good" customer they would want to keep you.
plus since your an amex member if they do deny you its only a soft pull. which is a benefit all on its own.
