Downgrade CSP to regular. Transfer limit to freedom?

My CSP currently has $12,000 limit and my Chase Freedom only has $5700. I'm planning to do a downgrade soon since the annual fee is going to hit in July since I basically just signed up for the bonus. I spoke to few reps and they informed me my credit limit can be transferred "to and from" the CSP and freedom anytime. I was wondering if I can transfer so that my new downgraded Chase Sapphire would be less than the $5000 visa signature requirement since I hardly will use the Chase Sapphire after the downgrade because I mainly use the Chase Freedom, CitiBank Simplicity, and Discover IT.  Thank you, all suggestion and comment are welcome and appreciated!

Re: Downgrade CSP to regular. Transfer limit to freedom?

Since the $5k requirement wouldn't apply to the non-preferred card, you could certainly lower it beyond that point. You may want to keep it at $5k and then you'll have $12700 on the Freedom.

Limits: PRG=NPSL, CSP=$16k, BCP=$30k, DIT=$15k, USAA=$6k, CDW=$12.5k, IHG=$9k, BBY=$2k, BOA=$13k

The latter is an option if you want to keep both as Signature cards.

you can, though Chase may not honor any sign-up bonuses, especially if you are re-applying within 12 months.

Per their T&C.  If anything OP, just wait another year to consider re-applying for CSP.
