Dual Network Credit Cards

How many card products are out there where you receive multiple cards, eg. one Visa and one MasterCard? I remember reading about a card like this but I forgot which one. Any ideas?

I think there's a UK product that gives out one MC and one AmEx but I forget what it's called.

Re: Dual Network Credit Cards

China also uses dual network cards. They will typically have Union Pay and then either Visa or Mastercard

Lloyds Bank in the UK offers a card product which comes with both a MasterCard and Amex.

Discover.

Chase also used to issue both Visa and MC versions of cards. Made the churn easier as they were in fact different products.

Oh, I see. TC is talking about cards where you may be issued either an AmEx or a Visa for instance.

I think some of us were referring to dual network cards in the sense that they're cards that have two networks tied to a single card. Discover is one. China uses these cards like crazy too.

I got a Citi AA card a while back, and received two cards tied to the same account, a Visa and an Amex.

That's the one I was thinking of. The MC doesn't give any rewards if I'm remembering correctly, right?

It does, the earning rate is terrible though - 0.25 Avios per £1 spent. Mine has never been used!

MBNA issue a lot of dual network cards where you get issued an Amex and a Visa. The MBNA American Airlines card has an Amex that earns 1.5 AA miles per £1 and a Visa that earns 0.75 AA miles per £1 for example, but I suspect that earn rate won't last too much longer because of the interchange fee cap due to come in shortly.

Well, it does but it is 1.25 avios per 5 GBP for MC (my usa keyboard doesn't have a pound sign sadly), and 1.25 avios per 1 GBP from AmEx.

There is a higher earning one with a bigger AF which is 1.5 avios.

Both are linked to one account and one CL. http://www.lloydsbank.com/credit-cards/avios-rewards.asp
