Like everyone said previously...
and also, FYI, you posted in the "approvals" section. This wasn't an approval, but merely a question about possible approval in the future. This will be moved to CC or Apps section.
My apologies... I guess I wasn't quite sure where to put it...
Thats ok, We just remind people when we see things in the wrong section. Ive done it as well, and then realized it later, and had to have a MOD move it for me, since we dont have the capability to do it. Get your scores up like everyone said, and I bet you get the card. This a tougher one to get from them.
I'm making it my mission to have this card by EOY!
And, thank you for letting me know!! Still navigating around the forums, so I appreciate the guidance!
believe me, there are a few cards I want as well, but since Im rebuilding from a BK a few years back, certain cards Ill have to wait many years to get unfortunately. Good luck to you and Im sure by end of year we will see you in the approvals sections for Ebates!
@Anonymous wrote:I'm in the garden now, and until at least mid year - but, this card is on my list of 'really want it!' ... lol, as I'm a a big shopper through ebates. I'm curious - what are the minimum requirements for this card, based on your experience? Also - I understand that they pull TU, correct?
Thanks!!
Also check that ebates is really the best place for you. Obviously it depends where you shop, but I rarely find ebates to give the best discount (using cashbackmonitor.com to check) so I haven't used my ebates Visa for a few months (lets see if they will close it!) And even when I did, I often had to email to get the extra rewards, not nearly as smooth as it could be.

I shop via ebates several times a month already ... From the holidays, I have a pending 'big fat payment' of $195 ... so, I *think* that ebates would be a good card for me. How disappointing that you had to email them to get the extra bonus!
Edited to add: Just checked my ebates account and, on average, without an extra ebates visa bonus - I get $75 per payout... Not sure how that compares to others, but I'm pretty happy to get $75 'free money' just for clicking through ebates... lol I'm going to check out cashbackmonitor.com now - thanks for the heads up!

My point was that while you shop at ebates, that may not be the best deal. Use cashbackmonitor.com to see how much discount other portals give for a particular merchant. There are tons out there now, and, IME, ebates rarely is the best! But again, depends which merchants you go to, for me topcashback, befrugal and simplybestcoupons seem to win.

Yes, totally understood you!
I've just been looking on cashbackmonitor.com ... For the places I frequent, I think that you're right (without the extra ebates card incentive), about 75% look better on another site... With the ebates card, looks like, for the most part, I would still fare better with ebates. Excellent food for thought!! I appreciate the heads up!!

It also depends on your other cards of course. I am currently using Discover IT Miles which is giving me 3% anyway, so the ebates card has no advantage, but once the 3% ends, I will look more carefully, as if ebates rate is within 1% of the best, ebates +3 % will beat "other + 2% double cash"
I was recently pointed to some other portals that aren't tracked by cashbackmonitor www.dollardig.com has a good deal on a fave merchant.

Good point!
Thanks for the heads up - I always love getting 'free' money for shopping... and the more, the better! lol
Synch usually likes me, and I spend enough with ebates as it is.... but who knows how long ebates will be around? I doubt sync would let anyone keep the card when ebates sinks. I envision them being around for maybe another 5 years tops.
I do want the card. Folks seem to get great CLs and CLIs as well. Do I need it? eh.

Hi - Owner of Dollar Dig here.
cashbackmonitor won't add us to their site. We were on there for a few months when we first started up, but not anymore. We tried to contact them but no answer, other than we don't meet their 'criteria' (which they won't define for us).
There are alternate sites that you can also use to check cashback rates, like cashbackwatch.com and cashbackholic.com.
Thank you.
