Much better to buy from UR portal then transfering to a Marriott rewards account because that same room is 30,000 points but for $Cash calue is cheaper at $149 on Marriott's website

In that example it would be .5 points per cent horrible value 😢. That is why never like converting to Marriott 😢

That is why I have little value in Marriott reward points lol.  Though TBH with the 5x at Marriott stays per point is decent if use it there it could be a decent. I would just book through the UR portal unless your spending cash.  That is also why I pretty much don't care if I make the spending requirement on my Marriott card lol.  Screw Chase they messaged me this morning saying I can't get the 70k after 1k spending even though that link is out there Smiley Sad

Points is higher then 1 to 1 through the UR portal.

Lol we agree their points are worthless for usage with ur points I rather get 2+ when I convert for flights 😀

I don't fly so 2+ on flying is worthless for me Smiley Very Happy

Even if I did fly I don't like flying with all the BS requirements lol

I guess , i am really thinking about using some avios points to maybe do an bermuda trip this winter. its 15k RT from JFK on AA I could do that.

I rather take a Boat to Bermuda Smiley Very Happy

i actually took a cruise to Bermuda 5 years ago ... Nice place to visit Smiley Very Happy

i have been to bermuda many times, I don't think i would really enjoy an cruise , sounds boring sitting on an boat for that many days. Do they have cruises that leave from that area off West side Highway?

When I went I left from the area off the West side Area. Cruises are quite fun and pretty much inclusive except for Drinks and if you want to buy anything, Gamble or fancier food.  I found it quite fun myself since your not stuck in a seat and you don't have to go through so much security  like you do on planes

I guess i don't really have anybody to go with so it would be kind of awkward and boring to go by myself lol. I rather just fly and get there in few hours and then i can do whatever i want in bermuda. I hope the beaches are like how they used to be when i was there with the pink sand :-)

If it has been longer then 5 years since you been there as of 5 years ago it had them Smiley Happy   Might look at going there again soon actually Smiley Happy

I know this isn't really the point but all I can think when looking at this example is that I don't want to be staying at this property in Brooklyn. Granted I am intimately familiar weith the borough having lived there for 8 years and having been in the borough four to five times a week over the nine years since I moved out. The Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge is decent, but most likely pricier.

i actually took a cruise to Bermuda 5 years ago ...

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott New York Brooklyn

From 15,214 Points

or  $190.17

I guess i don't really have anybody to go with so it would be kind of awkward and boring to go by myself lol. I rather just fly and get there in few hours and then i can do whatever i want in bermuda. I hope the beaches are like how they used to be when i was there with the pink sand :-)

+1 I'd much rather fly. Its a two hour flight vs however long it takes a boat to sail there. I'd rather be on the beach then on a ship.
