I just got approved for my second Elan Max Cash Preffered and I remember seeing something in one of the many MCP threads about not being able to add the second card to the phone app without creating a new set of login credentials. My card will arrive next week, but I'm trying to plan ahead.
I've spent the last couple of hours trying to find that discussion, but my search abilities are failing me.
Am I mis-remembering this? Was the problem fixed and so the comments have been deleted to avoid confusion?
Can someone that has two Elan MCP cards confirm that you can view both in the app without logging out/logging back in?
I have not used the app. But I can confirm in the negative on the website. There is a setting under profile to add another Elan card to be shared under the same login. Unfortunately for me, it gives an error when I try, so I have to make due with 3 different logins for my Elan cards... ☹️
Grrrr...
Thanks anyway, even though that isn't the reply I was hoping for...
At one time I had 3 vanilla Elan Platinum cards(since have closed two and PCd one to MCP). I had to call CS for them to help set up all three cards under one sign in. Since I have closed two, I went in and deleted the two closed cards. We first set this up at the website and then logged into the app and it was the same. I have an iPhone if that makes a difference, I would not think so 🙂

I went through this with an Elan CSR. The "add account" function on their page only allows adding additional cards which are applied through the same bank. My Everyday Rewards + Visa is generic Elan branded card and my Max Cash is Banc of California, so they have separate log ins. The CSR assured me that in the future that it would be possible to combine the 2 log ins, but Elan needs to upgrade their net interface from Commodore CBM to Apple IIe first.
The phone app acts the same way. You can log into the same account as last logged into using fingerprint, but when you want to go to the other account, you have to use your log in ID and PW, and the answer security questions.
Mine are still split between generic and People's United. Hoping that when People's finishes their merger and the card goes generic as well it will be mergable.
