Can't help you, as I have never been approved for any CLI with Amex. Don't know why they hate me so...
Good luck to you, though. I look forward to reading from those who HAVE received CLIs.
My first Amex BCE CL was $5,000 called Executive Office and recon it to $10,000. Then on 61 day x3 CL increase to $25,000 and CL increase to $30,000 on 6 months. My fico credit score then was 747 and now my Trans fico credit score is 801 and my equifax fico is 799. Also my Amex BCE, Amex SPG, Amex Delta Skyline and Amex Hilton Honors was backdated to 1990..... What a sweet deal! After that Chase Freedom, Chase Sapphire Preffered and Chase United Mileage Plus was approved for $25,000 respectively...I mean each. Income is $159870.
I just did the 2nd x3 CLI on BCP today .
Initial 2k -> 6k -> 18k . Feels great !

I've only been a member since 2000. Would you mind adding me as an AU for a few months.
Does anyone have experience with higher starting credit limits? One of my AMEX had a starting limit of 17,100. That was opened in August. Would I potentially be able to ask for a credit limit increase to 51,300? I don't need that amount of credit but Im just curious. If I got a 3x credit increase, my average utilization would drop to less than 1%.

The automated system on the telephone says it can take requests of up to 25000. I am not sure about online though. You would probably be best to speak with someone because most likely they will require income proof when going above 25000.
1,000 to 3,000 at about four months then 9,000 at six months on my BCE. When the BCE was at 3,000, my HH came with a 10,000 CL. At six months on the HH I asked for and was given 25,000. In less than two years I have gone from one card at a 1,000 credit line to two with total CL of 34,000.
When you apply make sure your utilization has reported low for the past 30 days, Amex will base the dicision on the most recent SP.
