LOL.

I plan on clicking the button every month my J.Crew card since they seem to be giving increases like candy (at least until they say no!)....I only wish Express and my others (VS, King Size) were as consistent.

Re: Express CLI

I've had my J. Crew card for about a year and I have never even used it because it only has a $300 limit.  What am I supposed to do with that when their cutest jeans cost  about $170 and a shirt costs about $75?  I can just forget about a blazer to go with it. LOL!!

I wonder what would happen if I click the LUV button. "Sorry ma'am. Use your account FIRST and then click again later!" LOL!!

Hahah...I feel you...mine started at $250.

I'd try it...it's not gonna cost a pull if they say no (I don't think they even do a soft).

So 4 months ago I requested an increase on my $500 Express card and it was declined reason being in their letter that "they want to see a consistent payment pattern with the existing limit before granting additional credit".  At that time I had only made one $31 purchase when I first got the account last May and nothing more.  So a few weeks ago, I made a $26 purchase and went online last night to pay it off.  Decided to try again and boom...$300 increase.  YAY!

So I guess two purchases both paid in full qualify for a "consistent payment pattern" with them.  LOL!

The four month rule is generally for GE cards not Commenity Cards. Commenity usually will tell you to wait at least 9 months. At least thats what I have been seeing on here and my own personal experience rings true too.

Re: Express CLI

GE is easy to follow their pattern. Commenity seems to complicated when it comes to cli hahha.

Re: Express CLI

Update Everyone!

LOL! This is so funny because I had to create an online account so that I could request an increase on the J. Crew card since I have never used it.  As a matter of fact, I had to retrieve the card from my file to create the account and it was still in the envelope glued to the letter that it came with.

I set up the account and clicked the LUV button and boom...Increase approved for $300. LOL!! So now my limit is $600.  I think I will buy something now.

Re: Express CLI

I have an express credit card & in my opinion it's never worth requesting a credit line increase. If you use the card heavily & always pay on time & more than a minimum you can expect a auto CLI every 3-6 months. I opened my account a little over a year ago, started with a $300 credit limit & have since received 2 auto CLI bringing me to $840 CL today. My VS Angel card has the same pattern started at $200 now up to $700. They seem to regularly review the accounts.

Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?
