I have most of my 2017 $250 Prestige airfare credit remaining and plan to close the card within two months. The seemingly logical solution is to buy airline gift cards.
I know FT has a list of airlines' gift cards that Citi has treated as eligible purchases. As a last resort, I can just buy Delta GCs outright.
But can anyone think of a portal or a way to pick up some extra miles or points from a Delta gift card purchase while still having the transaction count for Citi's credit? What about for AA or United?
