FICO 08 and EQ

hI,

Does anyone know what credit card company uses only FICO 08 and EQ? This is my best report and score(668 and no baddies) and i would llike to bring home a good healthy credit card to replace my two capital one cards.

Thanks!

I don't know of any but others might have that answer.

Re: FICO 08 and EQ

I learned today that Discover uses the Fico08 version and I believe I read an article that stated Citi also uses the new Fico score. (I'm not too sure of the latter).

That is a credit card enhanced version. But still a FICO08. I was just thinking of the Classic score. My apologies.

And I haven't heard about Citi using 08 but I can't discount it outright.

I believe I read it in the article linked in this thread:

http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-in-the-News/New-credit-score-could-help-millions/m-p/1298559#M8114

I'm not too sure and I'm too lazy to read it over again Smiley Happy Let me know...

As far as the "difference" it depends on what factors are pulling your score down (or keeping it up). Read the article it goes over some general differences between older Fico algorithms and the new one!

Quote from article above:

"The results of Citi Cards' testing and its adoption of the FICO 8 Score highlight the business value that FICO creates and delivers for its clients and their customers," Greg Pelling, Fair Isaac's vice president of scores and analytics, said in the release.

This is one of those cases where what's said is less important than what's left unsaid, however. By trumpeting Citi's adoption of FICO 8, Fair Isaac likely made a tacit admission that no other big bank -- Chase, Wells Fargo or Bank of America -- has made the switch. Together, these four companies dominate the credit card market and control sizable chunks of many other lending industries, including consumer loans.

I remember that post now that you've jogged my memory.  Smiley Happy

But I haven't seen any posts where someone confirmed a FICO08 score was pulled for a credit card application/approval.

Neither have I, which is why I gave my little disclaimer. I have not app'ed nor do I plan to app with Citi... Their affiliation with Sears and blacklist have discouraged me from doing so.
