Just curious, how long does FNBO take before closing a card for non-use? Since they converted my TravElite card to a standard 1
5x card, I stopped using it and expected them to close my card but 2 years and some months later, it is still open.
(I don't want to deal with phoning in which is why I just allow my cards to be closed for inactivity.)
If you dont want it. Call. Takes 5 mins at most. Then on your reports it will say Closed by Consumer and not Closed by Creditor. Then theres no question why did the creditor close the account.
Usually Fnbo will give you a warning. In my case with the mgm credit card it was six months of non use I got an email that they were looking at closing it so I put charges on it

You took more time to log into the forum and create this post than it would take "phoning in" to close the card. It's not difficult.
Not going to brow beat you to close it, since that doesn't seem to be your desire, just buy a soda every 2-3 months if you want to keep it open.

How many have you had closed due to inactivity?
