FNBO Offer

I received a preapproval letter from FNBO yesterday. I don't know much about them but the offer is for their amEx card. It doesn't come with any sign up bonus, and it appears the max reward is  2%. Any reason to bite that I'm not seeing?

Re: FNBO Offer

No, I believe the exact wording was up to 2% on all purchases. O something to that effect.

Re: FNBO Offer

It's most likely the blue American Express branded card which gives 2% on groceries and gasoline, and 1% on everything else. I also received a preapproval from them offering no interest until February? 2014. It took one day I believe to be approved and they gave a 10000 limit which was 2500 higher than anything else I had at the time. Don't be fooled by them saying it's invitation only; it's right on their website to be able to apply.

Credit report looked like this:

Oldest card: 2 years 8 months

Inquiries: 18 or so, I don't remember but they looked at Experian and others have reported the same thing

Utilisation: Probably 1%, I don't remember, but it has never been above about 8%

13? new accounts in the last year

You have to have at least $25 in rewards to redeem them. Redemptions come as a cheque, statement credit, or a deposit into a bank account of your choice.
