I'll search on the forum. I am wondering if any one has experience with FNBO Secured Card. I have money in 6 secured cards that do not graduate. I am thinking of taking the money out of those cards and put them towards new secured cards. I know FNBO Rewards are not that great like US Bank Card. I am wondering if FNBO Secured Card would graduate. In the description it says after 7 months we might be able to get CLI. I am curious what kind of CLI they might give. If I were to get this card should I go ahead and put the $5k in deposit upfront or if I should put less amount in the deposit to get the card. Also not sure after graudation if this card gets CLIs or stuck at the graduation amount. Any information is greatly appreciated.
So I have questions. Why do you have 6 secured cards? What is so bad on your report that you can't start getting any unsecured cards? I'm just asking because I think more secured cards could be a waste of your time. If you have negative items, sometimes it just requires time for lenders to get over it. IMO, it seems like 4-5 years after the negative items occurred is when they start caring less. But 5 cards versus 6 cards won't get you from subprime to prime if that's what's going on.
I also think it's worth trying their pre-qualifier tool regularly. A month ago, they were offering me their secured card. I tried again after paying off some revolving debt, which brought my score up maybe 6 points. Voila! They instantly approved me for a $11.6k Evergreen Visa Signature. And that's with 4 settled charge offs and 1 unpaid one from 2017 on my report. The score was about 686 at the time they approved me. Meanwhile, people with higher scores and clean files are getting the runaround and sent to a review status. Credit approvals can be a highly arbitrary process sometimes. A relative of mine file BK in 03/2020. In September of this year, Cap1 approved her for a $10k Savor One card. My point here is that you just need to keep experimenting. A couple of secured cards is more than enough to get where you're going.
