The payment of 25.12 was posted today. Waiting till tomorrow "for the kill".
Be on the lookout for another statement with trailing interest charges. Consider holding off closing the card until you get a statement showing zero balance due.
OMG - exactly what you mentioned happened !. When I logged in today, there was not only a charge of 3.56 but also a new statement was generated !
Wonder how come all of a sudden a new statement springs up with interest charges, and that too after 2 months (my last statement was June 15) !! beats me
UPDATE - I tried to pay off the 3.56 but the system would not accept more than 4 payments - I'm stuck with this card for a month more now....arrrrghhhhhhh
08/06/2015 PAYMENT LIMIT: You have reached your payment limit. Four payments have been received within a 30 day period. Thank you."I was not aware that one cannot make more than 4 payments...
Push a payment from your bank and tell those suckers sayonara!
How convinient about the statement like you said....now they're going to give you a hard time until you can close it.
Not cool!
The best way to close them is to push a surplus payment of $25 through the Credit One. Then go ahead and close. You'll get a refund check in the mail about 7-10 days later.
Good that you checked on-line. Many don't and are later surprised; getting hit with late fees, etc. Pushing a surplus payment, as Broke_Triathlete suggests, may be the way to go. Then there's no chance of trailing interest charges. I've never read of Credit One rejecting pushed payments.
LOL!

They would probably charge a recycling fee.
Or a burning our card fee, then on top of that fee you'll get a fee for having fees.
