1) So I know that Citi will explicitely tell you if a CLI request will be a HP or SP. I'm wondering...are Amex CLIs HPs or SPs?
2) Does Chase have a CLI request option? Is it HP or SP?
3) Will getting CLI reduce the chance I have on newer cards since I'll have higher exposure to a bank/overall CL is higher for my income?

Amex CLI's are SP.
Chase has a CLI request option. It's always a HP. They sometimes give out auto-CLI's, or mail/email offers where they will tell you that you have a SP CLI available.
Some lenders have been known to deny new accounts and CLI's because you have too much available credit. Barclays and BoA come to mind.
Ah good info. Thanks. I will actually tend to shy away from a CLI then since I do plan to churn and don't want higher limits to possibly hinder that.
Yup. I was about to get caught up in the whole "luv button" craze (hate that term), but decided against it.
