I apped foir Fidelity Amex last month. Was denied. Called for reconsideration and was approved for $2500. I said I would have preferred more. The rep asked me how much were you expecting.n I just said around $5000. He said $2500 is the max they can offer right now. However, when I got the card it had $5000 CL. So, it seems that they are quite flexible with CLs.
Now my questions are:
1. Do they do auto CLI?
2. If not when can I ask for a CLI?
3. Will it be SP or HP?
Thanks!

They HP TU if you initiate an online CLI request. I would wait atleast 3 statement cuts to request an increase. If you show alot of use and PIF, I think they are very generous with CLI.
Mine was initialy approved at $4K, got an increase to $12K after 3 statements and another increase to $20K after 7th statement. I did use the card alot and PIF and I also use the Cash Managment account as my main checking with DD which may have helped.

My first month usage was 23.66%. I think this wil be about the max I will use everymonth between 10-20%. I usually try to keep utilization below 20% on a particular card.

You can normally use the same hard pull for 30 days with FIA/BOA
It would have been better to know that a few days ago. I could have asked for a CLI on my BOA reward card using the pull the initiated for the Fidelity Amex app.
Anyway, will remember that in future ![]()
