I tried redeeming my points from my Fidelity visa and I chose to put them 100% in my IRA on the app and the points went away, but I don't see them in my IRA. I was wondering what happened to them. I redeemed them 2 days ago but the money hasn't showed up yet. Anyone else have this problem or know what happened?
instead of posting here where you know nobody knows what happened to your points..why don't you call your bank? wouldn't that make the most sense?
What did Fidelity say when you contacted them?
Aw ... hang in there. The same thing happened to me and I was getting unhappy about it.
For whatever reason, it took about four calendar days to move from Elan Card Rewards to the Fidelity Investments products. As you know, Fidelity Investments collaborates with about four partners so there is a time to move things around between them.
I was wondering if I had to wait a few more days or whatever before the points showed up. I haven't had the chance to call and I won't be off until monday.

Give it until Monday afternoon. Fidelity is not a bank, so you have to account for Fidelity Lag. Things have to move from Elan to Fidelity and then to UMB. It takes time, but I think it's worth it for what Fidelity offers in return.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I got worried because I didn't get any kind of confirmation email until yesterday which was several days after I transferred the points. The cashback showed up yesterday in my roth IRA.

Fidelity is truly the best. I haven't really used their credit card in about a year though, since 2% isn't so competitive nowadays.

It's darn good for a no AF non-capped catchall card where you don't have to park a bunch of cash in a low interest bank account.

2% cards can be found at lots of banks, it's nothing special anymore. No one is using low-interest bank accounts to meet the requirements for enhanced cash-back rates aside from the most basic of investors.
