I didn't know elan was usb. Usb did pull tu on me. I guess I can look forward to the turd when I try cli in four months on my connect card.

Let us know how it goes.  It appears to be something new, model wise, and not much info on it.  Good luck when you do try.

TURDs are nothing new to TransUnion or USB:

They need a track record before they will lengthen the rope to be sure you don't hang yourself, or them.

On a personal note, I had a rotten experience with Fidelity VISA:  They would not let me pay for charges that haven't settled.  When I pay my cards I pay whatever has hit the account, pending or not, as of the day I pay it.  This was refused by elan, which was annoying.  But more to the point, my wife passed, and she had that card,  When I called to get a final balance and cancel the card they gave me a massive runaround, telling me to contact specific people at USBank with all kinds of paperwork.  The paperwork I get. Trying to get hold of a specific person, rather than a department, seemed suspicious.  So I paid the balance off and left it to wilt on the vine.  And then I cancelled my card, purely out of spite. They didn't even ask why.

Just an update from my original post.  I asked for a CLI last month on this card and they moved my to a $10,000 limit.  I did suffer from a hard pull though Smiley Sad  I guess a year of good behaviour with them made a difference in their eyes.

Congrats! Glad you were able to obtain a real CL ... As you have read Elan/USB is a conservative financial. They love relationships (the USB side of things) and even use "customer relationship scores" (not generally shared with customers).

Once established with them, I found a good relationship and products. An interesting point for me, they will offer me 'Certificate of Deposits' Rates not available online, by phone or by text, they just pop up on my landing page where if I do not use them ... gone. I do try to use them so I stash cash (never know when they will pop-up).

Chuckle, as I get calls from their personal bankers who can not get me the surprise interest rates and do not have access to them so ... "go figure" ... best part is, USB has given me quiet specials over many years (unlike any other financial I ever dealt with?)!

Got'ta love it!
