Finally in with NFCU!!

It finally dawned on me that my sis-in-law's brother was active Navy! He joined, she joined, I joined! I'm really excited. Now I just have to convince myself to continue gardening until January as I planned before apping for a card. But I'm soooooo tempted!

Awesome - congrats! I hope you get an excellent line from them!

I wish there was a way that we could get in that CU for sure.

keep us updated, they usually do not do instant approvals so it might take a few days. get discouraged if you get the message that says your application needs further processing.

Re: Finally in with NFCU!!

okay, so just to be clear:

4 new accounts opened in last 2 months

30% utility currently

lots of inquiries related to auto purchase in january

You guys still think I should app now?

I am paying off my credit card balances on Friday if that matters. I really just want a decent limit, something I can run all of my monthly expenses through. My credit worthiness is just beginning to get to par, so I'd be happy with a $5000 limit.

Re: Finally in with NFCU!!

If you think you can get your util down, then wait for that to report to credit report so you might be month out from apping.  I think you will get card in either case, but higher FICO might mean higher limit.  Up to you.
