Looks like you have a $7,000 CL with Logix...

Kill it with fire.

...Well.

That kinda puts you in a pickle. You are kinda stuck with it as far as utilization goes then.

Well i'm happy for your making progress. We don't always have control over these things but that doesn't mean we can't work at it. Smiley Happy

Re: Fingerhut question

Thanks Nixon!! Every quarter I get a bonus and I pay a card off with it..kinda sucks that I cant just save it or spend it on something fun but I feel grateful that I get to pay something off and catch up that much more.

Take control of the situation by getting those balances down and then the world opens up. The hell with worrying about your scores now, worry about your scores 12 months from now. Fingerhut sucks, but you might as well leave it open if you can do that and not charge anything. If you are a chronic spender I would advise closing the account.

Re: Fingerhut question

I'd keep it open for utilization purposes. I just picked up the card recently for a little extra wiggle room padding for my utilization. The prices are a little high but I actually picked up some cologne I like that was on sale and was in the free shipping category so I ended up paying about the same as what I'd pay in a department store here for it, so that ain't bad. And considering Fingerhut gives out credit lines like M&Ms it sure can help out for utilization purposes, like I mentioned.

I have been focused on that for the last year (thats when i got my promotion and started making enough money to do so) My chronic spending ceased the day I filed BK in august 2012. I realized how stupid chronic spending is and how stressful it made my life. I only buy what I need and have been doing that for the longest..unfortunately until the past year I just wasnt making enough money but luckily I worked hard and it paid off. The day I finish paying this debt off will be a shining day indeed.
