Fire stone chances???

Scores are up to date in sig, UTI is around 80-85% currently (I know super high) couple lates back in August of last year lost job. Was just in Firestone getting oil change and the guy at the desk was saying could use some tires soon and was telling me about the 0% for 6 months was wondering what were my chances if anyone could chime in thanks!

Re: Fire stone chances???

Pay down your balances and you'll be golden.  But, Since your TU is the highest look at the Car Care by Synch as it might be easier to snag.

It can be used in more than 1 place as well.

Re: Fire stone chances???

I think that synchrony is a no go for me, I’ve had Belk for 6 years and they recently started balance chasing me!

Re: Fire stone chances???

Back to problem #1.... pay down the balances and that all stops.

Also, 1 synch card doesn't mean you're going to have the same issue on another one.

Re: Fire stone chances???

You need to get your utlilzation down quite a bit and then you should see a nice bump.

Honestly I don't think you current scores are high enough for any synchrony cards at the moment.

Does you have any baddies on your profile?

Re: Fire stone chances???

Firestone isn't backed by synchrony.

CFNA runs it and they gave me 1200 limit with scores mid to high 500s. Course YMMV. I've had the card for years like many years and still no credit increase despite credit mid to high 600s now. Loving the 6 month no interest. Brought winter tires on it this year.

EQ: 632 FICO8 / EX: 622 FICO8 / TU: 648 FICO8 / EQ: 648 FICO9 / EX: 652 FICO9 / TU: 624 FICO9 / Credit Karma: 633 Transunion 622 Equifax / Credit Sesame 633 / Positive Open Loan Tradelines: Auto loan $42000 / NEWEST CARD - Don't Remember / goal by 2019: 650 or more FICO8 across the board

Re: Fire stone chances???

I got the card last month as well, after doing online research to see what SL and score correlation there was. I saw multiple people with $1000 SLs at your scores, so you may be ok. If you can hammer your balances down for a few months and then app for it, you’ll have better chances for approval and a better SL, since currently you’re working against not only high balances but also recent lates.

Edit - this post contains my DPs for the approval.

Re: Fire stone chances???

I didn’t proofread when I made my post above and erroneously said “$100 approvals”. I’ve corrected that - it should’ve said “$1000 approvals” - hopefully I didn’t mislead you OP!

IMO it would be a denial based on the stats you have provided.

Re: Fire stone chances???

Have had this card for 5 years.....when I got it, my score was only in the low to mid 500's...TU was 540, EX was 532, EQ was 534. I was approved for a credit limit of $1000 and I had work done on my car......they then gave me a SP CLI to $1200.

This card can be used at a lot of places besides Firestone.....I use it at a small independant tire and repair shop, but there are like 8 different places in a 15 mile radius that accepts it here.
