Firestone Credit Approval

Applied online last night. Got a message their system was down, can't process application, I'd receive a response in 24 hours, yada yada. I just knew I was headed for a denial and a wasted inquiry. Woke up this morning to an email that I was approved! Credit limit is $900. Can't apply for an increase until after 6 months - of course I tried.

Don't need it right now but glad to have it in case I need car stuff done in the future.  Smiley Very Happy

Congrats! What's your score, if you don't mind my asking. I'm considering getting this because I read that CC holders get really good discounts on oil changes. Smiley Happy

Re: Firestone Credit Approval

A lot of us got this card back in like 2010 because they didn't decline anyone. I was givwen $1k with scores in the LOW 500's... I have never used the card but it does still say it's open but really don't need currently.

It's worth having this card for the oil change discounts alone. I routinely pay $15 per oil change less because I use it...leaving me a whopping $20 and change for a synthetic blend oil change with new filter, labor, disposal and taxes included.

In my wallet: Local Credit Union $25,000, Northwest Bank VISA $25,000, AMEX BCP $15,000

Re: Firestone Credit Approval

It seems like it would be a nice little pad for util and a regular discount on oil changes. I never really thought about having a Firestone acct before reading about them here.
