Re: First App Spree results... next steps?

Looks like you got the best advice.
With my Chase recon, I def'ly remember having to firmly explain my creditstanding with no encouragement from Chase, but it worked out well.

Re: First App Spree results... next steps?

Greatly appreciate everyones input. It was asked where my scores are at. Before the auto loan inquiry and mini CC app spree, my FICOs were:

EXP: 796

TU: 787

EQ: 746

I have one 30 day late from 2007 on all 3. I also have a $28 medical collection from 2009 that was supposed to be a pay to remove, but EQ never dropped it. I reached out to the coll agency last week with a GW request to removefrom EQ. I haven't heard back yet. My overall goal is to break the 800 mark, but I know that is a ways out now with the definite score hits coming with new accounts and inquries!

I just spoke with Chase Recon for quite a while and got probably the most honest analyst from a lender I've ever spoken too. He stated that my credit scores & report looked excellent (pointed out the small negatives above but said those were fine). He stated that they would not be able to approve the Chase Sapphire Preferred because they (Chase) just issued me the Marriott Rewards Premier for $11,000. He stated that because it was the card with the largest CL on my report, he suggested 6 months + of usage and timely payments consistent with my report and then reapply. I firmly conveyed my point, but again went back to the fact my next closest card CL is $6,000 on my report (it is now $15,000 after the increase from the other day). He even said that the inquires were not a concern...

So I guess I will pull up a chair in the garden and shoot for the 3x CLI on the new Amex Blue Cash Preferred?? The 3x CLI works with Amex Blue Cash Preferred I am assuming.

---- Funny timing, UPS just showed up at my door with my new Amex Platinum! ----

Thanks everyone
