The total inq. is kind of high (6 within a year) with 2 being for internet at AT&T, 1 for Cap One, 2 for Conn's, and 1 for chase.
The chase and one Cap one (it was at Bestbuy) will be off in two weeks.
The others may take a little while before the year rounds since the inq.
One conn's loan is paid off and the other will be paid in 2 weeks.
Cap One was a denial a year ago?
I ask because they have a "Credit Steps" program that you might be just right for.
Its an unsecured low limit that grows at the Seventh statement provided you make the payments on time each month.
Your mid to high 6's indicate that you might just be able to pull that one off.
Maybe give it a few weeks, let the inqs due to fall off do so, and then try Cap One Credit steps program card?

Well, the first Cap One was about a year ago next month however right before apping this card I had tried a student card that didn't come through (I bet now I could have gotten it?)
Is the credit steps something I see on their website or how does that exactly work?
Wow Cap One EO called and told me they are manually reviewing my app..
it's been about two weeks since I had sent an e-mail but that it is getting reviewed may be a good sign right?
