Hello All,
I got approved for the apple card with a 2500 limit , with a 21.99% APR back in January. I have a credit score of around 706. I need to buy a new iPad Pro and the accessories for grad school so (1800 bucks) worth of stuff.. would it be smart to use what I have already (Apple Card) or apply to the Barclay card for financing it in chunks ? Would I even be approved for the Barclay? I don't wanna open that can of worms for no reason and have a hit on my credit !
Thanks

@Anonymous 1st I want to congratulate you for coming here seeking out advice, and educating yourself. Now, in order for others to help you with your journey, we will need some additional information.
From the way you listed your scores, I'm assuming TU and EQ are from Credit Karma or some other monitoring service, and what you call your FICO 8 is actually an EX FICO score. Go to www.creditchecktotal.com and pay a dollar for a seven day trial to get all three FICO 8 scores, and then cancel the trial so you don't get entered into a recurring $30/month subscription. CK provides scores based on the VantageScore 3 model which are irrelevant for lending purposes. Use the service to watch your reports but disregard the scores.
Once you have all three FICO scores, please post up - we'll have a better idea where you stand to advise you.
@Anonymous Thanks for breaking that down. Recommend listening to @Anonymous regarding getting your true FICO 8 or 9 Scores so others can give educated advice on your particular situation. Do you have access to any of the CU's in your area?

Hi and welcome to the myFICO community!
If it was me I'd try to ask for a CLI first from GS and used that existing Apple Card instead of apping for a new one from Barclay.
That is such a good idea, I keep thinking because it's a newer credit card they won't be extending a CLI but I'm pretty sure they've already rolled some out !
I am looking into BECU and PenFed right now ! I have one closeby that my grandma has banked with since before I was born but I never put much thought into it !
@JR_TX , they increased my limit by $500 in the matter of seconds. WOW!
