First Premier Bank Card

I closed both of my Premier Bank cards back on June 9th.  After getting the spiel about how it will hurt my credit, I asked her to confirm that both were closed.  She confirmed.  I checked (because I don't want to have a hidden zero balance) today, and lo-and-behold, I have the stupid monthly charge on one of them ($6).  When I closed them, I had just paid a $55 annual fee.  I called them back to dispute the new charge, and the lady said she only sees one closed. I said, "No, I confirmed with the previous CSR that both would be closed."  She started getting irritated - offering me annual fee waived, and a credit line increase from $300 to $500 (I don't need your stinking credit cards!!)  Said she wouldn't even charge me the fee that they use to increase credit limits (something like 25 or 30 percent).  I kept telling her that I wasn't interested.  Then got the "my credit will suffer" routine.  I said firmly, "Just please confirm that the cards are both closed, with zero balances and that I will be refunding my annual fee.  She kept evading, but finally got her to do it.

Uggggh, I hate these vultures.  Absolute scum of the earth.

Just wanted to share my experience.  I hope others don't use them to rebuild their credit.  If you have to, go to Credit One.  They're much better.

Re: First Premier Bank Card

I am sorry you had to go through that. I closed mine through a message sent on the website without any problems. Good riddance to them. Now if I can get Credit One to stop asking me to come back ugh.

Re: First Premier Bank Card

Hi every one
I have a credit card from first primier bank for cl of 300$
And I want close it because of the anual fees and all that hidden thing they apply
I have the card for about 4 months only
I have other cards from Amex and capital one
With high limit
Age of history from experian is 4 yrs and score from experian is 691
So if I close this card would it hurt my credit and how many point would I loose
My ratio is 15% and my CL is 19k
How can I canceled this card ?
No phone number to call ? For cancelation
The card is paid in full no balance
I just don't need it for the anual fees and low limit
How to approach them to cancel the card without hurting my credit score

Any advice would be appreciate it
