Im definitely not keeping it past a year, they're not getting me for a AF and monthly fee.
monthly fee? what? you mean interest?
Once you've had the card over a year they charge a $6.50 "Maintenace fee" monthly.
Man the fees !!
you should have checked the terms and conditions well. Maybe they also request your kidneys if you fail to pay?
I did read the T&C and the only fees I ever had with the card was the express pay $11 fee to pay over the phone. So if you use it responsibly for a year as a rebuilder its just as good as a Crap1 / HSBC.
The difference is that Crap1/HSBC don't charge you $250 on a $300 CL to start with their cards. They also don't charge 39%+ interest rates. There really is never a need for First Premier. You can always get a better card, no matter your credit. Even Credit One is a better deal.

I have to disagree. Your being charged interest from the get go once a purchase has been made, you at least get a grace period with FP. I've had FP for 9 months and not paid 1 dime in interest (and I have a 59.9 APR). If you use it correctly it's just like any other rebuilder for the first year.
If you can afford the drop in total available credit then pay it off and close. If you aren't using the card and PIF your other balances before statement end dates then you are basically giving them money every month in their misc fee's.

I can afford the util drop, but I pay no misc. fees other than the express pay dee. Does anyone know if there is a charge to pay with checking acct?
You've already moved on. Close it and don't look back!
