My mom used to say "be thankful you're getting any mail, someone's thinking of you." However, I'd take a letter from First Premier over the IRS anytime.
I'm one of those people Finstar mentioned that returns blank applications to them. The Post Office needs the work.
Seems a little unfair to me. The person who opens the forms isn't the one who decided to send them to you, and, for all we know, ends up getting penalized for failing to meet a "successful applications" target because of the wasted time.
It also increases the costs of doing business, which might be fine if it caused them to mail less, but I suspect they just pass on the cost, which means that those who DO need these cards end up paying even higher fees.
But each to their own...

At the same time though, my credit was a good sign that I couldn't be trusted with money so I understood the "fee". They wanted to pad their risk. Now that I've had the card for awhile, it's helped my get better cards with higher limits. Cards that'll grow. Just don't plan on carrying a balance.

FP send those things to everyone and anyone...lol. For example, I still get FP offers on the creditcard.com site. I obviously don't need to rebuild any longer, but I guess they're hoping I go back to my horrible credit ways...lol.

Actually, you'd be very surprised on some of the sophisticated remittance and correspondende handling processes that most lenders have, Some of their scanning equipment are able to detect/decipher any "junk" return mail (i.e from disgruntled folks who made it a point to send a message with the shredded apps) which get intercepted and shredded from those that are an actual filled out form or application. So, while there is some manpower involved with handling some exception correspondence items, most machines pretty much do the work. So, their feelings are not hurt.

Soooooooo OPT OUT, and never see another offer again mailed to you.

Hahahaha got a pre-approval in the mail today. Cut it up into little pieces!
One member said that he sends back the approval blank to them. I like that idea! next time I get one of these Credit One or First Prmier app I just mail bak to them blank with a BIG X across.
This First Primier is robbing people with their high hidden fees..
