Re: First late payment in 13 years. How to proceed?

I had a late a few years ago.  I cannot remember how it happened, some sort of confusion between banks, online transfers or something...  Anyways I talked to a CSR and they told me that they could forgive the first late fee no questions asked.  So definitely call and explain your case.  Hell when it comes to our credit I would even be happy to pay the stupid $35 fee if I could just keep that late off my credit reports!

Re: First late payment in 13 years. How to proceed?

I sent an email letter to a branch manager of a preivous CU I belonged to years ago. It was my only 30day.

Never recieved a response from him/them, but the 30day was removed.

I think the advice of sending the GW to president, is a wise move. I did the same with a GW to AMEX and it was removed within 3 days.
