First time...Orchard Util Questions

Hello,

Just got my first OCard statement. I had a 300 limit and my balance was $19 so I kept my util under 10%. It has not hit my CR yet, as I have heard on this forum that they don't usually report to the last day of the month.

My question is, the bill is for $15 to be paid by July 17th. Do I pay that now or after it hits my report or just before July 17th? If I pay now, will it negatively impact my report when it hits for the first time?

Thanks....

Re: First time...Orchard Util Questions

I would try and let it report...of course, be sure to pay it by the one-time date on the statement itself. But if it reports on your statement, it will likely be reported to the CRAs.

PIF sometime between July 1st and your due date !!!!!!!!!!

Unless you use the card between now and the and of the month- just control what your end of the month balance is.

Not Orchard cards.  They don't report statement balances at all.  They report on the last business day of the month, and they report the balance as of that date, regardless of what was on the last statement.

Thanks Cheddar!

I wondered why the statement amounts and reported amounts didn't match.
