Fixing late payment

I was trying to find an answer but im not very good at finding things so I figured id ask.

I have a 30 day late showing from Nov of 2004. Any idea when it should come off or what I could do for getting it removed?

I would try a good will letter, although it has been 2 years so its not effecting you to much anymore. Search GW letter and you can find a couple to send in.

Unless you are able to GW it off before then, it should come off by itself in Nov 2011.

For what it's worth, a single 30-day from 2 1/2 years ago isn't doing much damage to your scores. And if it's the only late, lenders shouldn't get too perturbed, either.
