For those with bad credit, or those who need help with their util

Go to crown jewlers, they give a card with NO CREDIT CHECK.  thats right, and a 1500 CL.  Unfortunately on your CR it shows 500 CL, to get it higher you have to spend more than 500.  I got a ring for $30.. and repeat every six months..  so $60 year for an excellent account on your CR.  They report to all 3 monthly.  Actually, they are only reporting on 2 of mine for some reason, but there site says all 3 Smiley Sad

edit :  forgot to say its store only card!

They don't report to EQ. Mine has always reported a $1500 limit. I bought something cheap in November, paid it off when the statement cut, and have left it alone ever since.

Mine reports $1500 as well.  Sounds like someone missed a 1.  Are you sure your limit is $1500?

Everyody gets a $1500 CL.  If you look at the website, it says that they report either the amount you spend, or $500, whichever is higher.  It has said that for a long time, but it AFAIK they never actually practiced that, and still reported $1500 for everyone.  Looks like they may actually be doing what the website says now.

Re: For those with bad credit, or those who need help with their util

Yep I still got my acceptance email, $1500 CL.  My CR say CL $500   =(

oh well it helps, but dangit 1500 would have been sweet.  Im still gonna call them!  ..maybe a bribe will work.  >.o

If I send the acceptance letter stating 1500 CL to the CRA's do you think they would change it?

A "bribe" in the form of spending more than $500 at their website is practically guaranteed to work.
