If you havent taken the time to go to the Care Credit site, and actually looked at all the places "near you" that take it..youre totally missing out! With that said, go to the site, plug in your zip code, and 5-10 mile radius, and put "any"....youll have hundreds of places that take the card!! All sorts of places from vets, Doctors, dematology, vision, dental, chiropractors, etc.....You'd be AMAZED at finding a place you could use your card at.
I found a "Medical Spa" 5 min from me that Ive always wanted to go to anyways. I called and inquired, and they DO accept the Care Credit card for ALL of their services AND beauty products they sell there....Score!
So...If you just take the time and do a little homework on the card, youll be amazed at the places you could use it. FYI ![]()
Is there a reward structure?
The vet option is interesting. Several years ago my daughter had a chinchilla, who managed to reach outside his cage, pull in an electrical cord, and chew it to give himself a nice burn on his lip. $100 of vet examination to get him patched up. Sheesh.

not really. They have 0% financing over a certain amount for 6-18 months. Its just another option for medical/dental/vet etcc...for people who dont want to tie up their CL on a major card. I personally think the Care Credit card is a great thing for that resaon alone. Its of course back by Synch, so the limits can get high.
What is the hype with Care Credit? Never knew why people like it so much? Is it like a credit card for doctor visits and dentists?

yes. and a lot more places as well.
Go to the site, and do what I said in my original post, and youll see all the places the card is taken. It helps a lot people out, and frees up their other cards if needed too.

Large limits and 0% financing for long period of time for expensive stuff if why I find value in it. Never know when you might need it as well. I put a charge on it every 90 days to keep it active being dogs toe nails trimmed or whatever. I plan on using in the future for some costly dental work that will deffinetly be financed with the 0% 18-24 month option. Just waiting to get the limit up to 15k so I am not hurt on utilization to much. Hopefully i will get that by end of december then the fun begins ![]()

For purchases $200 or less I would use a Visa, but over $200 the deferred interest is great.
I got my Care Credit back in August as a 'just in case', for possibly getting an implant in the Spring... then just a few weeks later I broke a tooth - of course it took a crown. My out of pocket was $670, which was 'doable' on another card, but using Care Credit got me 24 months at 0% (I could have chosen 6, 12, or 18 as well). I'll likely have it paid off in January, but knowing I can stretch it out if needed is really nice.
Just beware the terms of the deferred interest... if that amount isn't paid in full by the end of the promotion, interest will be added to the whole amount going back to the day of the transaction... at 26.9%. ![]()
(Folks with an older account may still have a more 'generous' 22.98%, but new accounts are all at the higher rate.)
Pretty nice finds there pizza. You go girl ![]()
This is the one Synchrony Card i purposely am not apping for until i get ready for some procedure or other. I read reports that they will pull that card in a minute for non-use, something like 6 months are better? Dunno, but it is been a very popular card for many ever since i first joined this forum.
I love Care Credit! I have used it for furry babies and for me. I love the zero interest option. That is all the rewards I need when dealing with anything medical. Thanks for reminding me, pizza, why I like it so much!
