What cheap greedy ******.... been stuck with a 900 limit on my chase account since 2006...
called today to ask for 3500, declined... i mean **bleep**, do i need to take baby steps and ask for 1200? what the hell....
Edited re: you tried to circumvent the curse filter. Please refrain from doing this. Also, I'm leaving this thread in CC due to the replies being related to your denial of your credit limit increase. If this turns into a rant fest, we can revist and move it to Smorgasboard. I'd like for this thread to be helpful to you if possible. Best of luck with your credit limit increases in the future.

Sorry to hear... when you get the denial letter look at the denial reasons and go from there. At least for me the most denial reasons do make sense.

Chase has been cheap with their credit lines to me as well. They gave me a $750 limit on my Freedom, so I canceled it before even activating it and moved the limit to my Marriot RP card - which I have half a mind to shut down and move the credit limit to my Amazon visa when the AF hits. But oh well. Some lenders like you, others don't care.

Why ask for this info? OP will get the letter from Chase giving the denial reasons. That's all that really matters.

Because i know of people with scores 30 points lower that have gotten CL's 5x as big as the OP.

Of course, but... Chase will explain this particular situation to the OP. Better than we can.
ETA: There is a slight difference in my mind between posts where posters ask "What are my chances?" and Myfico guesses as best they can (As it happens, I also think this is stupid, but others clearly don't!). But once there has been a rejection, and the issuer is going to send an explanation, I don't see the point in saying much until the letter arrives. Then it makes sense to answer questions like "How do I address problem X", but not until we know what reasons Chase gives.
