I just looked up the Us Bank categories and I see 2 of them are electronics stores and furniture stores...I could max out the $2K easily with 1 trip to IKea or Best Buy. And $2k quarterly limit is higher than CFs.Yeah, but to have those recurring every year may not be optimal. In any given quarter, it can be great.
Right, but you can pick every quarter. So for things you can plan a little, such as furniture, gym contracts, electronics stores, it can work out quite well (and I've been putting recurring things, my cellphone bill and utilities on one of my two cards). And since it's no AF, if there are quarters where it isn't useful, that's fine!
@Anonymous how many US Bank cards do you have?

I have the AR, one Cash+ joint with wife and she has her own Cash+ as well.
You can. If you have big spend coming in those categories, it works well. Some of them are difficult to get a lot of spend. Dining and gas would be my two favorites, although I have a 4% gas card.

SpaceshipsThese are good guesses and would certainly get some new niche customers. But I see local AM radio being problematic. Is it local relative to the billing address of the card, or to wherever you are when you make the transaction? Lots of calls to the billing centers for this!
I mean, I'm there for the spaceships, but I think that that particular quarter might actually bankrupt Chase.

Well, that would good as I need a new spaceship; however the $1500 spending cap would not help me much on a $15 million purchase. ![]()
Now local AM radio?!? Sign me up!!! ![]()
