36,000 you mean.
HOW 36K?
I forget.
Actually it is 30,000. So we were both wrong.
6,000 x 5 = 30,000.
I guess bigbang has a Chase Checking account that gives 10% back annually.
This will be the last year with that bonus though.
Well.
Yeah. That. ![]()

Next year I'm going to close my Chase bank accounts and move it all to Ally Bank. No ATM fees, ever.
Freedom I'll be using a lot especially for the sign up bonus. In a month, I'll see if I can get it upped to $200. I'm already using this card at restaurants so I'm gonna keep it up.

Yes, Internet banks are the way to go, much better interest rates, all ATM fees redeemed etc.

I totally agree i rather get savings rates around 1% compared to brick and mortars .03%. Some of the online banks also give you interest on checking which is pretty much unheard of with brick and mortar banks.

Right, the only reason I can think of to have a b&m bank is for wire transfers and business cash deposits. That's it, really. Now, for Chase, having a checking account makes it easier to cashout UR points, assuming one doesn't redeem them for travel.
Not sure if there's an option to request a check.
Opening a Fidelity Cash management account today actually.. Acts just like a checking and they reimburse you for all ATM withdrawls domestic and abroad(I believe abroad). no fees, free checks acts just like a checking, but can link to your Brokerage account, etc... I see absolutely no draw back.. They will be my main bank and US Bank will just be used if I ever need anything immediately such as cashing a check or something..

Yes,but this is a cash management account associated with my brokerage account and 403b accounts as well, but acts like a checking... Thought about getting the Fidelity Amex as I am targeted, but hate I mean hate BofA and everything they stand for..
