Thanks amdm...the J.Crew I had to try multiple times. Some of them, I got an instant pop up as soon as I went to the next page to enter my Payment info...there was a couple that I had to enter my payment and click on next page for Review (right before I actually placed the order)..and I had one popup right after I started typing in my payment info. I never cleared my history or cookies...I just put something in a cart, and checked out as a guest. There was one or two that I actually registered, but I don't really think that made a difference...doesn't hurt to try tho.
FYI!!...some of the checkouts do not offer an Order Review page after the Payment page...some of them are on the same page and the next step is to place the order. So be careful.
Do you know if you have to enter payment info to get VS to work?
Cheryl
AFAIK not for VS. Once you advance to the payment screen it should display unless you're logged into your shopping profile in which case could display at any point, provided you qualify.

+1....VS pops up automatically. It's like they're just waiting in anticipation for you to click on the next page.
As for the SP's....all mine came from EQ..other than VS which was EX.

Nope it didn't work. No worries. I think i am trying to put the cart before the horse. I just need to settle down and throttle on back
I wasn't going to accept if given to me anyways but I was looking at it as a tool to show me where i was at...and i'm still not there yet
Thank you for your input.
I also got several of these cards. And I have a question about the AAoA too.
I have several baddies, all of which will drop off this August except for one, 11/15 a paid tax lien. (damn FTB!).
Seems my AAoA gets calculated taking the baddies into consideration from time to time. I have one BofA Visa that's 15 months. Is it going to hurt or help to have several brand new open accounts that all age together after the baddies are dead? I mean I don't have much of an AAoA to worry about in the first place.
I am also considering paying back AmEx even though it's past the SOL. If I can get that backdated, it would be a 20 year old account. I also heard Macy's sometimes will backdate your account if you talk to the right CSR. It would also show as a 20 year account. If I can get approved again for Macy's that is...
Should I bother with AmEx and Macy's at all?
Thanks! ![]()

With your scores Amex will be very unlikely. I would work on goodwilling your negatives and building AAoA rather than adding, otherwise you're just burning through hard pulls. Just my $0.02

Damn. I didn't even think about that. I was just waiting for them to drop off. Okay, so, they are on my report as collections, as well as the original creditors. So what happens if I pay the CA for the accounts? Does the collection dissapear and then the original creditor get updated as an account in good standing?

Anybody know this question? It's about to turn a month since I was approved for those 7 cards I mentioned earlier in this thread. 3 of em started reporting within a week of approval...Buckle, HSN, Brylane. I'm wonderin about the other 4...or at least the other 3. I haven't used any of em yet. Does it usually take this long for Comenity to report?

I would ask over in the Rebuilding Credit thread - those folks are going to be able to give you better advice than I can. I made several mistakes along my way and wish I had asked (the right people) first.
