So...when I started my journey back to Credit bliss....I began with Chase....I always regretted screwing over AMEX in my colllege years and when I began working in the corporate world it came to bite me in my ARSE. got denied for a corporate amex which was embarrasing....but at first as the dust was settling, chase gave me a chance.....
After a while and spending a god amount through chase....AMEX gave me a comeback...I paid old debt and was rewarded handsomely by them.....I now have 5 AMEX cards, including a plat....which serves me well since I travel weekly for my job.....and since, Chase has cut my credit limit from 5500 to 1500.....hardly usable on a work trip.....especially when I have a presumably unlimited Plat AMEX....I have tried to get their sapphire, which I think is one of the sexiest cards out there.. but they wont budge....I do love my AMEX's, but do get turned down in places that dont accept them all too often...
Point is....Chase is full of crap....everyone increased my CL while chase cut it...dont trust them....
They gave u a chance to recover and extended you credit, now your bashing them? Gee...

Sort of my thoughts, as well.
Chase has been very GOOD to me. I now have Freedom and SW Airlines Cards.

I guess my question would be why Chase CLD'd you, especially so drastically? They normally don't do it without a good reason.
Although I understand that bashing a creditor who gave someone chances may be distasteful, I feel your pain OP. Chase can be SO SUPER conservative. I would recommend another lender such as BofA or Citi. Using an AMEX as primary does require you to carry back up cards, and you need comparable limits especially for work and travel. Chase is not the bank for you. I've been thinking about leaving the Chase family myself. The CL they have on my account right now is restrictive and conservative. I have excellent credit, and pay my bills in full all the time. I've never even carried a balance. It doesn't make sense that my JCP card is almost 5000, and Chase refuses to budge on a CL over 3000 for me. CRAZY so I understand your frustration!!
