I got approved for an Amazon store card with a $900 CL 4 months ago. My 4th statement cut, and I called for a CLI and asked for a CLI of 600 to bring my CL to $1500 and was declined.
I really wasn't expecting that. When I applied for the card, I had a 626 TU Fico credit score and had a collection on my account. I have since had that collection removed, paid down my balances and my TU FICO is at 667. Is there a number I can call for a recon?

GE doesn't do recons. Hopefully they come through for ya on a subsequent request, they don't seem to be as reliable on the 4 month CLI hook ups these days and even disabled the formerly trusty online luv button
They gave me an auto-cli of $100 (1.2 to 1.3k), but they denied my CLI request too. I guess they're not nearly as generous with their CLis as they used to be, so I missed the guaranteed CLI every 4 months gravy train too.
They seem to use old reports too. So maybe your score hasn't updated yet. They are still using a report they pulled on 1/26/12 for me even though I saw that they softed my TU on 2/24/12. My score inceased by like 40 points as I paid down some balances.

GE doesn't recon; however you will get a letter explaining why you weren't approved. That may give you some clue as to what to do to get a CLI. On the other hand, it may just say something like "not enough experience at current limit."
When I got my WM, I asked for a CLI 3 times and was denied every time. Then a couple weeks after my last CLI request, they did an auto CLI from $300 to $1k. GE is a little odd. I also asked for a CLI w/my ON to $2k. The recording came back and said "we can't approve that, but we can give you $1500. Do you want it?" I'm kind of surprised you didn't get a counter-offer like that. That's why I'd see what the letter says when you get it.
Also, it is possible they are going off of an older CR. The letter I got said that they used a CR from March 1, even though my CLI request was a week after that. You might want to try again in a month. It's not going to hurt you to keep trying.

Have you recieved the denial reasons??? Not likely for a recon but at least you'll know what they're looking for.
I will receive the denial reasons in the mail in 10 days. I will post back here when I get the results. When can I request a CLI again?

Would wait until you receive the letter to address their concerns, then try again in 6mo.
oh GE they are so weird.
I didn't know before but I got approved for many cards with TU, they "Usually" pull either TU or EQ for all GE cards, but I was "told" we know how that works sometimes but that some of my TU pulls at approval want to use EQ for CLI... Also the system like Amex sometimes is 30-60 days behind on SP and when you request CLI they use the most recent in system vs. pull a new SP right then at time of CLI request.
If you are just at 4 monts, try again next month and I would keep doing it each month AFTER your payment clears until you get one!
AFAIK, you ca nrequest a CLI every month, but more than likely they are going to pull the same report for a 4 month time frame until they soft again.
