So I went on a GE app spree lately and got approved for 3 of them. Walmart, Old Navy and TJX. The Walmart card you can use at Sam's Club also and you can sign up for a free TU fico score every month. Walmart has a promo right now for zero percent financing on all electronic purchases over $429. The Old Navy card can be used also at Gap, Banana Republic, Athleta, and Piperlime. I'll get more into Old Navy in a bit. The TJX card can be used at Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and Home Goods. You earn five points for every dollar spent. After 1,000 points earned you get $10 in store credit. Of the three, Old Navy is my favorite. Right now they are having what is called the "Stuff and Save" sale. On the first day of the sale you save 40 percent on everything plus 10 percent off for 60 days if you open an Old Navy account. That's 50 PERCENT off everything in the store. In addition to this, you get 10 dollars in Old Navy supercash for every $25 spent to use on purchases in November. The first day I used this card I got about 300 dollars worth of stuff for 150 dollars. Didnt pay over 6 dollars for one item and the shirts on clearance I bought for my kids wound up being $1.48 after all the discounts. My wife and I have been going back repeatedly and have racked up $100 dollars in super cash. In addition to all this, you earn points for every dollar amount you spend and earn bonus points for doing things like signing up for online account management and email notifications. On top of the $100 in supercash that we've earned, we also have an additional $15 in rewards from earning points. I love this card!! I just paid it in full. Hope to get a CLI soon in time for the holidays. LOL!
I like Wal-Mart!
1) Free TU FICO
2) Grow with you.
3) You may get upgrade to Discover, unless you start off with it.
4) 15 cents per gallon off on gas.
5) It's Wal-Mart, one stop shop!
I currently have 3 GE backed cards. Walmart, Lowes, and Paypal Extras. The Paypal Extras card is my everyday use card. The others see little to no use.
Starting Score: MyFico TU: 621 EQ: 610This info might help -

Does anyone think that it's easier to get other GE Bank cards if you already have one or two in good standing?

Wow that's was a good I should have applied for the Walmart tough I only got the Paypal MasterCard extras the jcpenny card and amazon store cardI know I would be killing my luck if I try Walmart I have plenty of inquiries and don't know if would be such a good idea Plus the transunion score is a really good thing to have tear tear lol. Thanks for the replys Guys. TJX. sounds really good as well
Just for reference purposes, I had 20 inquiries on transunion when I applied for Walmart. I'm one year post BK7, have NUMEROUS new accounts, a 659 TU fico and a few baddies left on my report from 4 years ago and still got approved!!!!! $2100 starting limit which I reconned to 3700 immediately after being approved. Made up a story stating the credit limit wasnt enough for the purchase I was going to make. Apply in store if you do and apply in the electronics section to make it appear that you will purchase a big ticket item. I bet you will get approved and for a big starting limit. Again YMMV and good luck if you do. It worked out for me.
