I now have an Amazon.com store card ($600CL).
This is entirely YOUR fault...
LOL, Back 6 months ago when I started my APP CRAZE, Amazon was really my #1 choice and for whatever reason the computer that day pulled ALL 3 Reports!! and declined.... then today instant and not bad starting limit....
and for person talking about INQ... it's SO OVER RATED!!!
Yes if you have an 810 credit score and have not applied for credit in 5 years and you have 2 or 3 accounts currently you will take a pretty big dip in most cases for the new inq, new account and what not.... but as far as rebuilding and all that such, I am more concerned about banks that are not okay with INQ... I rarely run into a problem with it... Barclay would probably be the worst about it and Nordstrom but whatever.
Until I get up in the big guys USBank, Chase, Citi INQ just won't really effect me and I can't apply for any of these major banks just listed because of the BK and black list in past. so until 2013 or 2014 when BK is gone then im going to apply and owrk on increasing limits on cards I don't really need but later will hopefully have a decent limit by the time I really need it or get upgraded to MC/Discover/Amex version of the store card.
How long have you had your cheveron card? is it 4 months or 6 months for that card?

I should be at 4 months, maybe 5.... I think all GE are 4 usually.

I just called automated line no go and I am 5 months and a week, it sounded like i will get the not enough expercience at current CL message when I get the letter since the automated system told me that card is currently not eligible for an increase. See my other post I got a $150 incrrease on my walmart card today, that card is 19 months old
I'm certainly no expert, and GE's qualifying requirements are becoming more and more of a mystery.
I thought I had noticed, and now have confirmed, that it's easier to get a new account with GE than it is a CLI for some of us.
I've had a Walmart card since December of 2010, and can NOT get a CLI...just got denied a few days ago...
However, as I posted earlier, I just opened an Amazon store card and they gave me a $600 cl.

Yes Approvals have been way easier for years now then CLI.
I have a joint Dillards Amex with my father and it was instatly approved online for $2000 back in 2008 but then over the next 4 years despite spending in the $15k-$20k range (I was employed with Dillards) the CLI would only happen about $100 over the years... CL was at $2500 when the account was then $0 out after carrying balance and was givein $1k increase to then be CLD to $2350 where it is right now.... I already have many thread about this.... but yes internal one would think you have that kind of spending you would get very nice CLI, but it just always came back util on other accounts and such.
