I was five statements and Dillards American Express kept saying that, so I rang them. The representative and his manager both infomed me that 10,000 was the maximum on the card and there was nothing they could do. For an "elite" card, that certainly isn't very high. I asked to be transfered to an analyst or whatever and he took information, transferred me, and the request was approved within minutes. So you could try telephoning them and see if that gets you anywhere.
+1 Do what he said^^^ The same happened with AE so we called the automated system and they did a counter offer.
