GE & NFCU Util Thresholds for CLIs

Any experience with overall util thresholds for GE (Walmart and Amazon) or NFCU cli requests? These accounts are all new this month, and it appears the luv button time will fall about the same 4 months ish timeframe for them all also. Of course, ideally less than 10%, but I was looking more along the lines of when its a "don't even bother" type situation (ie more than 50% overall util is probably an auto hellsno).

Back story: I just recently attained 15k navcheck, 2k cc, 500 cc. The reason for the low cc cls was a fed tax lien on credit. I maxed out pretty much ALL the avail credit to pay off IRS (NFCU was aware of this prior to doing so)...so a lien withdrawal (removed from credit) will be forthcoming about the same time it's luv button time. I'll qualify for higher cls without that huge negative listed they said, but naturally I want to avoid a 3-5 day msg (and a likely hp from it).

I have a financial plan for knocking down those balances as quickly as possible...but I'm just an old retired soldier so under 10% util isn't gonna happen in 4 months.

Thank you!

IMHO, If you are struggling to pay off the balance on your $2k and $500 credit cards, it might not be the best time to ask for CLIs.  Why not just wait until you can pay it down and then request?   Of course, it is NFCU, so you could try even with your high balances, take the HP, and then if they don't approve you will have to wait a few more months (which was your other option anyway).

Amex ED $19.5k - BoA Travel Rewards $15k - CSP $5k - SDFCU EMV $15k - NFCU goRewards $20k - Barclays Arrival $6.5k

Thanks for the reply, Dave. Well, it'll realistically be pif in 7-8 months (cut budget to the bone)...I was just curious if requesting a cli earlier than that (at 50% or 30%, etc) would likely be declined. The CLIs are strictly for scoring/util purposes only.
