i have 2 ge cards from walmart and amazon. No CLI as of yet which suprises me due to everyone on here getting them after the fourth statement. no lates with them at all and I use the cards regularly. short of calling them for an increase can someone advice am I missing something. I figured its the holidays and it would have been increased by know.
Did you have a late payment, or collection show (on any other creditors) after the GEMB cards were issued/activated?
Actually yes. a collections from a gym membership from years ago. It posted last month. geeze you think that might be it.
The first automatic credit limit increase I received from them (Amazon) was at ten months. The next increase I initiated after that was at seven months, since they did not increase it on their own. Not everyone gets the automatic increase every four months. Ringing them is better in my opinion. I was able to get it from 2500-5000-10000 in two months. They do not ask any questions and it is a soft pull.
The collections posted on equifax though and not TU. I thought thats what GE looks at anyway

That is what they have always looked at for me. So maybe it is not the collection.
Are these your only active cards, or is there more to your credit? If these are the only ones functioning right now, they're probably waiting for you to gain some more experience/time with them. I say call them too. Worst that can happen is you get an explanation, and a "no."
Reason I asked about the CA/CO thing is because Gemb gets spooked with CLI's, when fresh damage shows up suddenly.

Sad, just called to get a small increase and no was the answer. Reason will be in the mail. Other card in my name is the lowley capt 1 card. Should have asked what CRA they used to pull credit.
Just call GE Credit Solutuons at: 1-877-379-4936 and ask for your credit limit increase to be manually reviewed, I'm sure they will help you out.
